A trip to Rotterdam.

So this summer I started talking to Denise on tinder, snapchat and fb. She was from the Netherlands but on vacation in Sweden. We never met but she quickly became a good internet friend. So this Thursday I went to Rotterdam to finally met her! Let's start in Eidhoven tho. I woke up feeling awesome after such a heavy sleep (tired from Amsterdam, as I was) and Freddy was too sweet and made me breakfast. Coconut yoghurt, fruit, müsli, tea and semlor. Rotterdam was only an hour away. I hugged Freddy goodbye and took the train.

Rotterdam had a cool train station!

Cool buildings.

City hall.

Laurenskerk.

The famous markethall.

We took a quick walk along the harbour. Seems like such a nice place to be in the summer. Or on a warm day. We had some wind!
We went to Spirit for lunch! Which was a really cool place with lots of vegan food. I was especially impressed by the blueberry pancakes. We also had great coffee here.

We went for a walk in the center for shopping which was fun. I am always amazed by H&M's ability to seem like a feminist company, when in fact they're not at all.

We took the train to Barendrecht where Denise's parents house was.

Apparently Europe's biggest harbour. Very cool. And beautiful.

Look at the idyllic suburbs! And the channals! Adorable. And the bike roads! The environmentalist in me was dancing. Let's get this to Sweden now, shall we?

There we are. We also took polaroids for our photowalls. Cute, huh?
We went biking to the closest store which was nice and really made me want spring to come to Lund already. Maybe in two weeks or something. (March, you can do this!) We cooked and had coffee and studied. I always study so much better with company. It just makes me calm and less bored in a way. I could finnish the lab report on time and send it before deadline, so I am very happy about it. Thank you so much Denise for hosting me and do come to Sweden any time you want. Until next time.
